Job Description:
A successful senior housing sales person requires compassion, empathy, and a deep understanding of the needs of older adults and their families. The role demands a consultative approach to guide potential residents through a life-changing decision while meeting sales targets and maintaining high-quality customer relationships within the senior living community.
Responsibilities:
1. Senior Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with seniors, their families, and caregivers to understand their needs, preferences, and concerns regarding housing options.
2. Sales Outreach: Conduct outreach efforts through various channels (community events, senior centers, healthcare facilities) to generate leads and promote the senior housing community.
3. Consultative Selling: Guide potential residents and their families through the decision-making process, providing information on housing options, amenities, services, and financial considerations.
4. Tours and Presentations: Conduct facility tours, presentations, and meetings to showcase the senior living community, emphasizing its benefits and suitability for prospective residents.
5. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain a network of referral sources including healthcare providers, social workers, and community organizations to increase referrals.
6. Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to move-in, ensuring a seamless transition and exceptional customer service.
7. Market Insight: Stay informed about local senior living market trends, competitor offerings, and changes in regulations affecting the industry.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies and materials tailored to the senior housing market.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in the senior housing or healthcare industry.
- Understanding of senior housing options, services, and the needs of older adults.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- Familiarity with Welcome Home CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Preferred, but Not Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare, or related field.
- Certifications or training in senior living sales.
- Strong network within the local senior community.
