Job Summary
The seasonal Janitorial Team Lead is responsible for safely leading and working with the janitorial team to perform daily custodial work in general offices, corporations, and other building interiors.
This is a seasonal position. Days and hours of work are as follows:
Training starts at 8 am 8/12/24.
1st shift: Sunday, 4:00 am - 12:45 pm; Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 2:45 pm.
2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:45 pm.
May be required to work some weekends as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the janitorial team to ensure assignments are completed effectively, efficiently and safely.
- Reports any violations of policy or team issues to the Supervisor.
- Service and inspect assigned area to ensure quality standards set by the customer and company are being met. (i.e. service, clean, and supply restrooms; wipe down tables and chairs; clean floors and entryways by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming; clean windows, glass and mirrors; spot clean carpets).
- Inspect assigned area to remove litter and debris, or to clean up spills immediately.
- Operate janitorial machinery and equipment as needed.
- Assist in employee training on cleaning equipment and procedures, chemical handling procedures, GMP and SSOP procedures, and all safety procedures.
- Report to supervisor needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring additional service.
- Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be 18 years +
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Detail-oriented.
- Bilingual - Spanish is a plus.
- Able to follow verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work as a team player and able to work independently.
- Proficient PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office).
- Time management skills.
- Customer/Client focused.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years’ experience.
- 1+ years of janitorial experience is preferred.
