Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.

What will I be doing?

***The location for this position is field-based/virtual.***

As the Regional Director, Safety & Security - Pacific US and Canada, you will direct security reviews, safety, security, fire protection, surveillance, investigations, and safety & security programs for the protection of company managed assets. As a leader, you will also oversee Area Safety & Security Directors within the assigned region. You will analyze statistical data to allocate resources for high loss areas and you will assist the Senior Director with analysis and response to governmental regulatory initiatives. The Regional Director will work with Business Continuity Management (BCM) during a crisis. You will be partnering with field operations at the hotels to ensure meeting safety and security policies to reduce losses.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:
Planning Activities -
Evaluate the effectiveness of claims management activities at the hotel level to minimize direct or indirect costs to hotels
Conduct safety and security profile reviews
Organizing Activities -

Provide technical and project management services for (Closed-Circuit Television - CCTV, locks, access control, fire safety, asset protection) system improvement/upgrade projects for hotels in their region
Handle assigned special projects and crisis management programs
Coordinate terrorism response to increased threat levels and assist with natural disasters
Directing Activities -

Direct hotel Safety & Security review program with appropriate follow-up reports, benchmarking and recommendations to leadership and hotel General Managers
Direct risk assessment studies of selected locations as assigned
Collaborate closely with hotels on the preparation and direction of special events
Staffing Activities -

Evaluate security-staffing needs and lead the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training and developing of hotel security directors
Work with area managers on goals to contribute toward accomplishing department initiatives, and their career objectives
Review and evaluate progress and performance of area managers
Controlling Activities -

Implement programs, policies, procedures, and related training
Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local requirements including OSHA, and fire/life safety statutes and regulations
Assess actual performance against standards to identify whether the department is on target to reach its goals and take corrective actions as necessary
Assist in prosecution efforts resulting from covert surveillance or investigations

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

Technical Diploma
Six (6) years' safety and security experience
Four (4) years of management experience
Travel 75%
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
Ten (10) years of safety and security experience
Six (6) years of management experience
Hospitality industry experience
CPP Certification
