Painter Job Description
At Good Abode, we bring life back into once-beloved homes by revitalizing existing houses to reach modern standards and tastes. This position will be responsible for painting each home as needed along with repairing, installing and finishing drywall as needed.
General Information:
- Full-time
- 4-day work week (4 10-hour shifts)
- Pay: $18-25 hourly

Job Functions:
- Prepare surfaces for painting.
- Mix and apply paint, enamel, and other finishes to surfaces.
- Perform maintenance (drywall, ceiling tile, carpet tile, etc.)
- Clean up after projects.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material.
- Sand and scrape surfaces as needed.
- Follow safety procedures when using ladders and lifting material.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and scope.
- Effectively communicate with project managers and other team members.
- Proactively identify and address challenges that may arise during the painting process.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Good general knowledge of paint and paint application.
- Reliability and dependability are essential.
- Ability to read, comprehend and retain work-related information.
- Can effectively communicate and respond to questions from managers, teammates, etc.
