ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (full job description will be given at time of interview):
- Drives truck safely and delivers petroleum products to customer’s home or place of business paying close attention to delivery instructions and carries out any specific requests by dispatch or on tickets.
- Complies with company safety procedures and policies including safe transportation of hazardous materials.
- Records detailed delivery information on route cards and fill out paperwork correctly.
- Maintains a clean truck inside and outside on a routine basis.
- Performs pre-trip inspection before each shift and as required by law as well as routine maintenance on truck.
- Responsible for taking on-call rotation as scheduled
- Proficient in the use of electronic devices.
- In the summer months (off-season) will be required to perform other duties besides driving. This is to ensure a 40 hour workweek. Tasks included but not limited to landscaping, painting, mowing, assisting with other outside field employees in other departments.
- Works overtime when needed, up to 60 hours (following DOT regulations) during the winter season (October – April)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to pass CETP 1.0 which is the Basic Principles of Propane.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must have CDL with Tank & Hazmat Endorsements ·
- Must have and maintain a safe driving record
- Must have a medical examiner’s certificate
- Must comply with DOT regulations.
