The Real Deal, the largest news outlet for the real estate industry in the country, is looking for an Ad-Sales Director.

The Real Deal has been experiencing tremendous success over the last 14 years and we are growing at a rapid rate of 25%+ per year. Our websites garner over 3 million unique visitors per month and our print publications have a readership of more than 300,000.

Your Job:

This is a player-coach role where you will grow and develop account executives and increase revenue. The right candidate will have the skills and experience needed to work in a high-growth startup environment.

The day-to-day job is building and managing the Sales Operations by hiring, leading, and coaching Account Executives in our headquarters in New York City. Under your guidance, the team will be expected to achieve results that are on or above target.

Long-term, we expect you to increase revenue generated from Real Estate and Endemic industry Advertisers, significantly grow our portfolio of accounts, drive and oversee the successful launch and execution of our premier Real Estate industry events and build sales of our online advertising products.

You will also be responsible for profitability and hire/develop top talent. This is a management position that reports to the Head of National Sales.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the overall growth of business with the goal of building our company into the largest and most respected Real Estate Media property.
  • Hire, coach and develop Account Executives to execute the defined process and meet or exceed targets.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan with each Account Executive under you.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, unit, profitability, customer satisfaction and attrition goals.
  • Set expectations with the Executive team through timely and accurate forecasting, pipeline, profitability, NPS and sales activity reporting.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Executive team, Managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Cold-call and create selling opportunities by developing long-term relationships.
