Position Description: The TMS Scheduler reports to the Operations Support Manager and is responsible for coordinating the scheduling efforts of applicable student, active duty instructor, and contractor instructor training events as directed by each syllabus and wing training requirements. The Scheduler coordinates efforts with the Operations Support Manager, appropriate Lead Instructor, and active duty scheduling personnel. The TMS Scheduler supports wing scheduling personnel with the preparation of applicable daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual training schedules. The schedules include projections of aircraft availability, known key personnel absences, and other items that might impact student or instructor requirements. The longer range projections are updated as changes occur and are the basis for the daily academic schedules, training device schedules, the maintenance training schedule, and the flying schedules. The Lead Instructor will review scheduling products relative to impact on contractor personnel. To ensure compliance with requirements and procedures, scheduling products are reviewed and approved by wing scheduling personnel prior to publication.

The TMS Scheduler will:
Assist the squadron chief of training with documentation and tracking of all students, permanent party, and attached personnel training events,
Provide recommendations required by student non-progression, maintenance problems, unscheduled absences, Commander Awareness Program, changes to meeting schedules, etc.,
Prepare and publish training reports, attend training meetings and job training events, and assist in planning training activities,
Conduct audits on previous day, provide the 1 Cos at the duty desk with corrections, and close out schedules once all corrections have been performed,
Be proficient in applicable portions of the wing provided TMS and provide training as necessary to applicable contractor personnel and/or wing personnel,
Assist personnel of the assigned squadron on all TMS issues and serve as a squadron focal point for resolving TMS problems,
Be thoroughly familiar with all training syllabi, Services Instructions, and local guidance related to scheduling and training for students and permanent party.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Willingness to travel, to include Squadron CONUS/OCONUS deployments depending on operational needs.

Secret with SAP-F
Final-Adjudicated Personnel Clearance Level (PCL) of SECRET or higher, with an Investigation in the last six (5) years and had access within the last 24 months, is required to obtain a SAP-F clearance. Candidates with an investigation older than 5 years must be screened through the sponsoring SAP security office prior to being assigned to a position requiring SAP access
