Description:
Maintain and oversee our production studio facility. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the studio. Ensure seamless operations and well-organized equipment inventory. With a specific focus on operating required software and hardware depending on production requirements such as LED wall screens, cyc wall, and sets. You will handle technical setup and control to optimize content display. Additionally, you will provide support to on-site producers as well as assist with production-related tasks offsite and at our home office.
Job Responsibilities

Open, close and operate the studio facility. Responsible that all equipment is well-maintained and in proper working order.

Manage the security system; ensuring it is on at all times.

Ensure that all facility services are running and communicate all necessary fixes and problems to the Director of Video Production.

Setup and reset of a/v equipment, props, sets, and stations.

Maintain studio facility supply orders as needed.

Manage the studio booking calendar and production calendars.
-
Sourcing and scheduling of external vendors and freelancers for all production related tasks such as: cleaning crew, couriers, grips, set painters and other repair vendors as needed.

Secure and lock all equipment on a daily basis and maintain inventory tracking.

Setup and calibration of the LED screens. Ensure they are properly installed and aligned to create a seamless display surface.

Manage, test and operate the visual effects displayed on the LED screens. This can involve adjusting brightness, contrast, and color settings to optimize the visuals for the viewing environment.

Troubleshooting and maintenance of any technical issues that arise during productions.

Support producers on site and on location.

Support the Video and Photography departments with production related tasks.

Support as camera operator or livestream operator as needed.

Support weekends and extended hours during productions.

Manage multiple productions simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and meeting budget and deadlines.

Be solutions-oriented, and supportive in finding solutions to unexpected challenges.

Other duties and special projects may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 2 years of experience in a video or photo production setting.

In-depth understanding of business and technical functions involved in studio, remote, and live events

Strong knowledge in production a/v equipment

Strong understanding of video and photography formats and codecs

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and operate in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of prioritizing production needs with the ability to reprioritize at short notice

Highly organized, creative, and can independently execute priority assignments

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Works well under pressure and is flexible

Proficiency in macOS, Gmail Suite and Microsoft Office programs

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs to move equipment in the studio

Ability to drive between the studio and home office

Available to work nights and weekends as needed

Domestic and international travel for productions as needed
Desired Qualifications

Previous studio operations experience preferred
-
Have a good understanding of the LED screen technology and be able to address common issues such as pixel anomalies, connectivity problems, or calibration discrepancies.

Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues related to connectivity, video playback, color calibration, and software integration.

Knowledge in software programs such as Creative Cloud, Resolume, Arena, Livestream Studio or Notch.

Video & Photo editing software experience is a plus

Grip camera knowledge is a plus

Inventory Software knowledge such as “Cheqroom”
