IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company is seeking a Bidfast Representative to join our team!
The Bidfast Specialist is responsible for identifying and purchasing salvage on behalf of IAA. The primary emphasis is on the provision of competitive bids on salvage which also maximize IAA’s chances of selling the vehicle at auction for a profit.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of organization, product services and policies to provide a variety of customer support through mail, telephone, email and direct personal contact
- Act as liaison for our customers and insurance providers to provide quotes on salvage vehicles through phone and email intake of data and then formulate a quote
- Collaborate and obtain input from Branch Manager and providers for accurate quotes
- Provide quotes to outside customers that are seeking to potentially sell a car on our platform
- Ability to make accurate bids on salvage based on general insurance and auto knowledge
- Generate standard reports and design new reports as requested
- Build strong relations with branch managers and providers
- Complete Bidfast assignments in the event a bid is accepted
- Confirm all title documents prior to issuing any payment
- Identify and utilize alternative sources of automotive salvage
- Conduct research of a routine nature

Physical Demands:
- Ability to apply appropriate use of security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect Company and customer assets
- Ability to avoid accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations and responding appropriately when accidents occur
- Must be able to preform the following physical activities for over 2/3 of the time, physical activities that involve sitting, seeing, hearing or talking for extended periods of time
- Ability to constantly reach outward, handle and finger objects, stand, walk, and sit
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- 1-2 years’ previous work experience
- 18 years of age or older
Job Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and providers
- Advanced Customer Service experience
- Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
- Ability to work under pressure and accept constructive feedback
- Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls
- Positive Attitude
- Professional and clean appearance
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the auto/claim and/or salvage industry
- Experience in a fast paced environment
