Job Introduction
As a Solutions Architect, you will work as an advisor across multiple delivery teams, providing innovative solutions to our Prepaid product line. You will coordinate with stakeholders, architects, and development leaders to define the most effective solution to business problems while leveraging our team’s knowledge of existing systems, services, and capabilities.

Your deep hands-on knowledge of design, development, coding, and testing across various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission-critical problems.

Main Responsibilities

Analyze and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and procedures across the organization

Participate in the priority and assign of work within technical teams and ensure compliance with architecture and design definitions

Participate in code reviews, collaborating with development leads to enforce strict guidelines around code quality, code coverage, and concurrent development of concurrent releases

Recommend and lead re-design or re-development of sub-systems that do not fit the architecture design

Develop strong partnership with business, product and engineering leaders to define business, product and technology architecture

Review solution designs to determine their technical viability and their relevance to the business goals

Participate in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, improve our processes and methodologies, and ensure the high quality of our technical solutions

Lead and participate in production support when critical system issues arise

Advocate and enforce the adoption of automated deployments and efficient CI/CD processes

The Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience

BS/MS/PhD in computer science/related field

10+ years experience as a software engineer / solution architect
5+ years experience in SaaS and/or distributed systems architecture

Required Knowledge and Skill

Experience in software development leveraging a variety of languages such as Java, Python, .NET, NodeJS, etc.
Experience with Java/J2EE, Web Services, Spring Framework, and Messaging
Experience providing architectural guidance and oversight to development teams
Hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Nexus, and SonarQube
Understands the concepts of Cloud, Continuous Delivery, TDD, and automated testing frameworks – Selenium, REST Client, Soap UI, REST Assured
Experience with both relational database like DB2, Oracle, MySQL, Sql Server, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux, or NodeJS and corresponding unit testing frameworks
Experience designing and deploying workloads to Amazon Web Services or similar cloud platform
Hands-on experience with developing, architecting and implementing REST APIs and micro services
Deep understanding of financial services with experience in payment systems (preferred)
