Description of Job Duties: To perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and to assist in analyzing the data and transmittal for evaluation. Prepare patients as needed for the echocardiogram and Perform the cardiac ultrasound as ordered by the referring physician.
Analyze and report exam results to facility for interpretation.
Our facility uses a Philips IE 33 ultrasound machine. Responsibilities include to maintain the equipment including but not limited to cleaning scan heads and lead wires after each patient and following the guidelines of the sanitary office procedures.
Candidate should be proficient in the following areas:
Communication both with staff and patients: Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication · Knowledge of the cardiac sonography field: regulations, procedures and best practices
Possess working knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of both normalized and abnormal heart conditions
Certifications and Education Preferences:
High School Graduate OR Equivalent
2 years college coursework in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology or equivalent
Current registry as an Adult Sonographer (RDCS or RCS)
Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Medical Sonography
Current registry in Sonography (RDCS or RCCS)
Current registry in OB/Gyn Sonography (RDMS)

Salary: $30.00 to $45.00 /hour
