This Parts Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the processing and ordering of all CAT and associated vendor stock orders.

This Parts Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the processing and ordering of all CAT and associated vendor stock orders.

Essential Functions:
Manages and ensures stock accuracy for CAT product line
Develops plans for managing the removal of old and dead CAT stock space optimization and reduction of overstock
Manages stock orders for all CAT parts marketing promotions
Develops and implements training for parts counter sales department on CAT parts order processes
Analyzes daily reports and procures CAT parts through stock orders FDO CPRO emergency stock orders and monitors stock levels making recommended adjustments based on the constrained parts list.
Maintains pricing of all CAT products and follows-up on ship dates for all CAT items utilizing OTV Antares CidWeb.
Prepares Semi-Annual Surplus Return Reports and files for all CAT parts; sends out cards to branch stores and reviews packing list files in preparation for transmission to Caterpillar
Trains as a back–up for Allied Parts Inventory Analysts to assist in all functions in their absence and supports the Allied Parts Inventory Analyst with their needs
Manages all Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) overrides additions/changes per parts manager requests making recommendations as needed.
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies procedures and standards
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned and assists with special projects as necessary and other tasks assigned by manager

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control principles warehouse management supply chain and receiving functions
Strong technical and CAT parts-related knowledge
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors own staff and corporate executives to exchange information influence and persuade
Proficient skills required in solid problem-solving planning organization time management and analysis
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to develop others teach and instruct individuals and groups and the measure of training effects
The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp manipulate or assemble very small objects
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages fractions addition subtraction multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Three or more years of prior inventory control experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery file cabinets etc.
This role frequently communicates with others must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
Frequently moves product or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity coordination and stamina
Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders or stairs
Routinely reacts to visual auditory and other signals including alarms and instructions and is required to visually inspect work

Work Environment:
This job is generally performed in a warehouse office environment
Exposure to small quantities of chemicals steam high-pressure water and high speed rotating equipment
On occasion time spent in high places
Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
