As a Senior Manager-Information Management, you will work collaboratively with business and IT teams and be responsible for deliverables, estimating timelines, resource requirements, Business and Functional requirements and project management. You will play a role in architecting our current BI platform, developing and maintaining BI tools and reports, and ensuring business leaders are empowered with concise, high-quality information to identify and address business opportunities as well as risks.
A successful candidate will have strong business and technical acumen, as well as great problem solving, critical thinking, communication, and mentoring and management skills. This is role is best for a leader that takes a hands-on approach, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to make things happen.
Provide in-depth technical expertise and direction with all aspects of the solution design and implementation, including requirements definition, data acquisition processes, data modeling, process automation, escalation procedures, construction and deployment.
Project management from design phase (business requirements gathering, available information analysis, and architectural analysis) through the development phases, QA, and transition to customer
Oversight of robust reporting DataMart ETL; Develop ETL standards and support ETL
Provide prioritization and project management of team activities while proactively identifying areas in which analytics efforts can produce a strong value add
Work closely with the EIW, MDM, and DI teams to ensure data model is designed for optimal reporting
Establish relationships with key business partners to develop reports and dashboards that lead to actionable insights
Ensure solution designs address performance requirements, availability, integrity, security, scalability challenges as well as business functional requirements
Design and facilitate the implementation of data visualization and reporting best practices
Research outliers and identify root causes of issues in reports; Communicate data nuances and insights to all levels of the company in a clear and concise manner
Collaborate with Business and BT teams to advance the company's reporting capabilities and improve the accuracy of data
Coach, mentor and train team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, accountability, and compliance of department standards
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years in a Business Intelligence role within an Information Technology department required
Strong understanding of cross-team and cross-project dependencies. Be able to anticipate and address issues early
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects for various internal customers
Professional and ethical conduct, strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Prior experience managing a team with HR responsibility
Understands how and when to make a choice independently; how and when to escalate issues; analyses risks and future impacts of decisions
Advanced SQL skills and experience with Oracle and/or Teradata. Experience with any reporting tools is a plus (Microsoft SSRS, Tableau)
Experience in healthcare analytics or similar provider experience is preferred
