As a well recognized and growing organization, People First FCU is accepting applications/resumes for a Business Lending Manager.

POSITION PURPOSE
Promotes People First Federal Credit Union Business Services products to existing and prospective accounts. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with members. Conducts sales calls to explain and promote products and services. Ensures members are well satisfied with products and services. Meets or exceeds goal expectations and ensures professional relations exist with sales contacts. Makes recommendations to management regarding product development, pricing, and sales projections. Responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for the effective promotion of Business Services to current and prospective members.
Prospects for new business opportunities to expand market share. Conducts regular sales calls to develop member relationships and follow up on leads. Makes sales presentations to prospective members as requested.
Collects information on competitor products. Develops sales points to highlight advantages and benefits of People First products and services.
Makes calls to existing members to ensure continued satisfaction with People First products and services. Ensures accounts are serviced in accordance with People First standards and policies.
Obtains member feedback and continually works to improve products and services.

Forecasts long range account sales, product needs, and communicates related information regularly to management.
Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of People First.

Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional completion of assigned business loan functions.
Interviews, takes applications and processes preliminary documentation on Member Business Loan requests
Prepares and delivers business loan requests to the credit union’s third party vendor for underwriting and analysis.
Acts as the credit union’s primary contact with the third party hired to underwrite and analyze business loan requests, following up on any questions or information needed by underwriters.
Perform loan closings where attorneys or abstract companies are not necessary participants and forwards necessary paperwork in a timely manner to CUSO for recording.
Ensures Business loans are prepared in compliance with MBL regulation 723 and People First FCU Business Lending Policy.
Ensures adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC requirements, Privacy Act and any other Federal requirements related to the opening and maintenance of business accounts.
Perform annual review of existing Business loans financial statements. Perform site visit if applicable.
Determines pricing for Business loans and works in conjunction with the Member Business Loan Committee for approvals.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Credit Union personnel and management.
Acts as liaison with branch personnel to arrange for opening new Business Accounts as necessary.
Assists with training other credit union employees on business account functions, policies and procedures.
Keeps management informed of area activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant problems.
Submits accurate, timely, and complete reports to management and Board of Directors as required by Business Lending Policy. Ensures reports and records are accessible and meaningful for decision-making processes.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.

Effectively supervises personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
Provides leadership to Business Lending Department personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts staff meetings as required. Directs, schedules, and coordinates Department functions.
Ensures personnel are well trained, effective, and optimally used. Instructs personnel regularly regarding policy, procedure, and program changes.
Conducts performance appraisals as required. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. Recommends changes in the status of departmental staff, including promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments.
Ensures staffing levels are appropriate and human resources are effectively utilized. Conducts interviews and assists with hiring personnel as needed.
Reviews and ensures the maintenance and accuracy of position descriptions.
Assists and supports department personnel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

College Degree.
Valid driver’s license.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of Company products and services.
Understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions. Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and
principles.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Five to ten years experience in related field.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent local travel.
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
