This leader will be responsible for developing the go to market pharmacy talent acquisition strategy as well as the value proposition for technicians, interns, and pharmacists. In this role you will play an integral part in our pharmacy evolution as we seek to build an integrated in-store pharmacy experience, grow our market share, provide industry leading patient experiences and become the employer of choice for pharmacy professionals. The Senior Manager, Pharmacy Talent Acquisition reports to the Senior Director, Field Talent Acquisition and will lead the enterprise-wide pharmacy field talent acquisition strategy and execution including the staffing of Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Intern, Pharmacy Technician, and Pharmacy Clerk roles. The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Pleasanton CA, Portland OR, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Phoenix AZ, Seattle WA, Chicago, IL, or Orange County CA). Additional travel will be required if not located in Boise.
As the leader of this area, you will have a deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices including building an optimized candidate and hiring manager experience in both professional and high-volume recruiting capacities. You will work directly with HR leaders and pharmacy business stakeholders to understand regional and corporate business, talent, and capability needs. This role will drive our pharmacy campus recruiting strategy and will manage our overall candidate campus experience including the use of and presence in virtual and in-person events.
This is a new role and provides a significant opportunity to make a difference in pharmacy transformation at scale. In doing so you will diagnose critical pharmacy talent opportunities and provide recommendations to business leaders on approach.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Pharmacy Talent Acquisition Strategy - Build an integrated talent acquisition strategy and staffing roadmap that takes into account the current and prospective state business and capability needs. Advise and direct leaders on internal and external talent capability with developed market intelligence. Leverage data to drive strategy and help leaders "see around corners."
Pharmacy Employer Value Proposition - Build, deploy, and manage a compelling narrative detailing to jobseekers the value of employment within our pharmacy organization. Devise go to market strategy, marketing, and media to make brand accessible and visible to jobseekers in all pharmacy roles. Continually revisit value proposition to ensure market positioning is "fresh" and current.
Talent Acquisition Process - Build high impact and cost-effective talent acquisition processes that yield world-class pharmacy talent at the speed and scale required by an organization employing >12,000 pharmacy employees. Uphold and maintain an "upgrade" hiring mentality for both yourself and the pharmacy talent acquisition team. Integrate talent acquisition processes through partnership with the Pharmacy Learning and Development team to provide pre-boarding, onboarding, and orientation that will delight our associates as they are welcomed to the company. Build and recommend omnichannel talent acquisition solutions including college campus, virtual events, trade shows and in-person modalities. Leverage internship programs and affiliated developmental experiences to build internal bench capable of staffing anticipated roles.
Diversity & Inclusion - Develop an approach that considers pharmacy talent from across the nation, our diversity and inclusion strategy and goals, and draws diverse talent into consideration for all roles. Produce diverse slates of candidates and assemble diverse panels of interviewers to ensure our pharmacy teams are as diverse as the communities and patients they serve. Foster a diverse and inclusive team and work environment and role model our culture and leadership practices.
Data & Analytics. Leverage data to create actionable intelligence, establish ROI, and draw insights for business leaders. Create forward-looking plans based on trends and analytics that turn information into clear data narratives or dashboards for business partners and leadership. Measure talent acquisition team effectiveness, define KPIs, and hold team accountable to deliver against effectiveness measures. Adept at measuring marketing, media, engagement, and recruiter effectiveness to demonstrate overall value and identify opportunities to continually improve talent acquisition processes.
7+ years of experience in broad talent acquisition capacities managing talent acquisition function(s) in a Fortune 500 organization; should also have experience leading high impact teams and talent acquisition process design. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with a related degree (e.g., Human Resource Management).
Deep experience in creating, implementing, and maintaining talent acquisition programs at scale, preferably with experience aligned with national and/or global scale
Experience designing and managing campus recruiting initiatives and relationships both in-person and virtually
Ability to comprehend pharmacy and organizational objectives and design talent acquisition approaches that ensure the business is positioned with world-class talent to attain defined objectives
Proven ability to coordinate and align a diverse set of business stakeholders at all levels of a business
Assess program and process effectiveness and demonstrate ROI, with a capability to react to assessment throughput with continuous process/program improvement mindset
Functional talent acquisition experience across business units and stakeholders building integrated communications and metric architecture that connects business units to overall organizational goals and talent outcomes
Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate concepts into practical talent solutions that drive the business at all levels of the organization
Budget and vendor management for both day to day and large projects and initiatives
Champion change management efforts through a continuous improvement mindset while driving the organization towards a One Best Way talent acquisition model
High detail orientation and broad background in leading large and complex projects
Strong influence - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration across a variety of stakeholders and business units to achieve team and organizational objectives
A high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the projects you work on you maintain high standards
Savvy with data - You know how to gather, share, and leverage data to make decisions. You utilize data to measure initiative and recruiter effectiveness, program costs, and build predictive talent insights to allow the business to "see around corners."

Deep functional experience with HR domains

Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint) required.
Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-based environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and service-oriented.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g., Human Resource Management, MBA, PharmD)
7+ Global or national talent acquisition experience
7+ years' experience recruiting pharmacy talent
SHRM or HCI talent acquisition certification
Experience utilizing and/or implementing cloud-based applicant tracking systems preferably Oracle Recruiting Cloud
