Monday - Thursday: 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Fridays: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Under immediate supervision, performs routine clerical duties as generated by management or supervisory personnel following established procedures and practices or detailed instructions from supervisor. Employee will work in the Downtown Campus mailroom performing duties such as sorting incoming mail, recording for college records, routing mail to correct department, sorting interoffice company mail, and processing outgoing mail.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares and processes standard forms, invoices, requisitions, and related documents according to departmental procedures and guidelines.
Posts information to permanent records according to established system; enters data through an electronic keyboard to record and verify a variety of routine source data for accuracy and completeness utilizing procedural manuals, reference guides, or other documented resources.
Answers telephones or visitors' questions when the information provided is readily available from manuals or other resources and easily learned and requires little or no discretion in deciding whether it should be provided.
May sort and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail; performs other mailing duties as required.
May perform receptionist duties, receiving and directing visitors to appropriate offices or personnel.
Maintains files, records, logs, and listings according to established systems. Searches and retrieves materials or information upon request.
Assists in compiling and assembling data for reports utilizing available resources.
May assist accountants and/or higher level clerical employees in simple bookkeeping or record keeping duties, not requiring formal training.
Performs cashiering duties.
Operates personal computer, computer terminal, calculator, duplicating, and other routine office machines.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.
High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalency. Completion of two years of office clerical course work in an approved business school or high school; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge skills and abilities to include the following:
Working knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation.
Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Ability to operate or learn to operate a personal computer or terminal.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations and the ability to acquire skill in making arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routines.
Ability to do limited typing as required.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
