Manages regional domestic distillers grain merchandising. Provides oversight and leadership to direct reports.

Maintains regional domestic distillers grain sales.
Determines highest netback sales.
Communicates margin impact and netback analysis.
Works closely with commercial logistics in setting the requirements for regional rail and truck movements.
Enters contracts into CXL.
Develops and presents regional distillers grain merchandising strategy to management.
Develops and maintains relationships with distillers purchasers in regional bulk markets.
Gathers regional market intelligence and develops forward views on distillers grain market prices.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher level degree in a related field required.
10 years of experience in grain merchandising and/or agricultural merchandising required.
Ability to manage a team, effectively working through others to accomplish business objectives required.
Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation required.
Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications required.
Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization required.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods required.
Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes required.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements required.
Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Powerpoint and Excel) required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
