The Warehouse/Transportation Management System Systems Architect should have in-depth knowledge of WMS and TMS Logistics Execution Tools, awareness of end-to-end Logistics and Supply Chain processes. The ideal candidate is proficient with several Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and have gained hands-on experience during prior project implementations.

Job Overview:
As the WMS/TMS Logistics Lead, you will work hand in hand with our business and functional teams to provide solutions and craft program roadmaps and provide guidance to a group of motivated individuals. While developing our teams deliverables, you will have some similar projects of your own. You will be expected to effectively guide the teams and consistently handle yours and your team’s work for the best results.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Led the planning and implementation of company’s transition from multiple systems to a single global system support, especially in the Logistics/TM/WM areas
Development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of warehouse and transportation management applications
Create reporting tools and structure useful in daily business needs
Program, implement, and test a collection of new modifications and standard functionalities
Debug and resolve a variety of issues (bugs, performance, and user) by reading through trace files
Creation of technical documents during the development cycle
Develop utilities, procedures, and documentation upon customer requirements
Application installation and upgrade, including third party integration and configuration

10-15 years of work in Logistics Execution 5+ years of experience in leading WMS and TMS Implementations
Validated ability to encourage, coach and mentor team members in more than one functional area
Well-rounded WMS/TMS experience, solution design exposure, and a solid understanding of industry trends
Aptitude for architecture, design, development and deployment of custom solutions
Shown understanding of Logistics Execution and Transportation Management (Operations and Systems)
Familiarity with Optimization / Solver algorithms and Machine Learning topics is a plus Excellent grasp of software development and project life cycle tools and methodologies
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills and are able to collaborate with WMS/TMS functional, technical and global design teams Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed
Communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing to provide clear and concise communication to technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
A self-starter, someone with a strong work ethic and strong leadership skills who will be a role model for others on the team
Experience working with global and high-performance teams and individuals
MS/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Operations or Engineering a plus
