Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, adequacy, and compliance of care provided by our organization. This position involves collaboration with various teams, including OCR and DHS, to implement and enforce HIPAA regulations, as well as working closely with our administration, staff, and legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for national accreditation organizations, coordinating surveys and corrective actions as needed.
- Serve as the Medical Records Librarian, overseeing quality control and ensuring continuity of client care through well-maintained and accessible client records.
- Supervise the Quality Assurance and Medical Records Departments, fulfilling essential functions outlined below:
- Represent the QA Department in meetings with the Administrative Team as needed.
- Oversee audits of medical records.
- Monitor compliance with HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, Medicaid, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
- Assist with external audits and provide education on documentation to direct care staff and contractors.
- Support Clinical Liaisons and help develop quality assurance forms and programs.
- Analyze data to ensure quality and efficiency of services, collaborating with the Admin Team and Consultants on EHR documentation.
- Work with IT staff on the annual Security Risk Analysis and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA security and privacy regulations, including the establishment of the HIPAA Compliance Team and the implementation of all required policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree required.
- Must be a licensed mental health professional in Arkansas.
- Experience in medical records and mental health settings is necessary.
Skills:
- Required: Strong knowledge of Medicaid, PASSEs, The Joint Commission requirements, HIPAA privacy and security regulations, Corporate Compliance, and medical records regulations.
- Preferred: Supervisory experience, proficient computer skills, excellent written communication, strong organizational abilities, and a professional work ethic. Ability to interact effectively with the public and staff is essential.
