Role Summary:
The Digital Experience & Communications Leader will be responsible for optimizing GE Aviation employees’ experience with learning tools, resources, programs and offerings, raising the profile of learning at GE Aviation, and fostering a culture of learning across all divisions and geographies.

Essential Responsibilities:
Effectively manage our presence on GE/GE Aviation’s enterprise collaboration platforms to ensure a learner-centric experience, including ease of access to internal and external learning and development tools & resources. Drive marketing and communications across all digital and in-person channels to ensure consistency of messaging and effective reach. Utilizing site traffic and other analytics, optimize our digital presence, ensuring we are adapting the learner experience to make the biggest difference for GE Aviation and our employees

Develop and lead an innovative strategy & vision for the learner experience via our key digital platforms (Yammer, BrilliantYOU, GE Learning LMS etc.) and execute on the vision with key internal & external partners
Raise the profile for learning at GE Aviation and encourage a culture of learning by driving effective online and offline communications to engage employees throughout the organization
Understand the L&D agenda, tools & resources to optimize the learner experience and execute best-in-class internal communications, messaging and strategies to align and support the business effectively
Ensure a dynamic learner experience including interaction with learning content, tools & resources via our key digital platforms
Manage vendor partners providing design, development and community management services for our digital platforms
Monitor learner engagement with digital platforms and communications; Share insights with stakeholders regarding traffic, engagement, user needs, etc.
Coordinate the integration of 3rd-party tools (e.g. Skillsoft, getAbstract etc.) within our digital platforms, ensuring a streamlined user experience
Monitor the external landscape for new and emerging learning technologies and best practices that may support the Aviation L&D team’s work including new ways to bring learning to the learner
Develop and execute the overall communications strategy for the GE Aviation Org &Talent Development Team, to evangelize and educate employees on the value and use of the learning tools, resources, programs and offerings available across GE / GE Aviation
Promote and ensure messaging alignment by drafting and/or editing internal communication messages for multiple channels – website, emails, intranet, blogs, etc.
Align communications with broader O&TD and HR agendas within GE Aviation
Develop and maintain strong networks and relationships across GE / GE Aviation Organization & Talent Development (O&TD), Communications, HR, and Technology Learning Teams

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a communication, marketing, web design, digital / technology role in a complex organization (Including Experience working with social / intranet platforms; Experience with web design &/or user experience; Experience leading and/or involvement in large-scale solutions-oriented initiatives)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
English fluency required
Ability and willingness to travel 20% (+/-) of the time

Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Communications, Marketing, Technology etc.) from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience required
Masters’ degree, MBA or other advanced degree from an accredited university or college
Background in adult learning, building learning experiences, learning metrics and understanding of learning delivery technology
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences in a variety of modalities
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels of the organizational matrix
Skilled at planning, project management, time management, and decision-making
Previous experience managing vendors, delivering projects on time and on budget
Proven ability to implement business change across multiple locations
Proven experience in the effective leadership, project management architecture and implementation of business change initiatives with a global or multi-country footprint
Highly results-and customer-oriented
A collaborative, team-oriented style, yet able to work independently
Innovative – ability to propose effective, original solutions to address learner needs and user experience
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, balancing and executing on multiple priorities
Familiarity with individual GE business’ products, strategy and priorities (internal only)
