Participate in developing the business strategy and convert this business insight into meaningful and impactful Human Capital/Environmental Health & Safety initiatives and practices which will enable business performance.
Ensure total compensation programs (direct base wages, variable pay, recognition and benefits) are competitive in the marketplace and consistent with company compensation philosophy.
Maintains employee benefits programs by working with broker to ensure competitive offerings and pricing; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
Create, manage and oversee the Talent Management program and recruiting process for all level of candidates: executive, exempt, non-exempt, production employees and interns.
Oversees EH&S personnel with responsibility for OSHA, Waste Stream Management, Hazardous Materials and ISO compliance (programs, policy and regulations).
Identifies training and organizational development initiatives required to meet business goals. This may include the development, coordination and conducting of training.
Provide strategic leadership and consulting support to company leaders to achieve corporate objectives and business growth.
Develop and maintain personnel policies and procedures that comply with State and Federal laws and regulations and are consistent with corporate philosophy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional HR Certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP desired.
Must have 8-10 years’ experience in strategic Human Resources management within a demanding and fast paced environment.
Experience with manufacturing or engineering industries highly preferred.
Must have the ability to bring immediate credibility to the human resources function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills as well as project the highest levels of integrity.
Significant experience in working across functions and leading and delivering on complex projects.
Experience with organization development and training delivery.
Knowledge and experience with State and Federal laws and regulations.
Strong leadership skills are required as well as effective human relations consultative and communication skills; high integrity and sound business judgment.
Effective negotiation and influencing skills required to provide leadership to managers and employees in resolving issues.
Superior interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills are required.
Accuracy, detail orientation and analytical skills needed with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations to management.
Ability to serve as a change agent to positively influence the culture and work environment for employee owners.
