Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have extensive leadership, problem solving and decision making skills along with exceptional communications at all levels of management and technical staff. Must be self-motivated and tenacious in their pursuit of knowledge, personal development, and providing excellent service. Willingness to take on new and unfamiliar tasks and the ability to learn quickly are a must. The role requires flexibility of schedule.
As the manager of this program, you will be responsible for a cohort of highly motivated veterans that will be trained in Full Stack Development, Cyber Security or Amazon Web Services and will eventually begin their career at the Department of Transportation.

  • WOS:
  • Manage the academic program
  • Assist with providing end-to-end program management solutions
  • Ensure that program recruitment goals are met
  • Ensure key administrative deliverables are complete
  • Provide recommendations for program improvement
  • Client:
  • Serve as the liaison for all client related matters
  • Maintain a long-lasting, positive relationship with client executives and managers
  • Evaluate client requests for additional consultancy needs and make recommendations
  • Consultants:
  • Act as a mentor, and positive role model, to each consultant
  • Work with consultants to meet performance and development benchmarks
  • Advise and assist consultants in need
  • Assist with on-boarding requirements for new consultants, as needed
  • Other ad hoc projects, as needed.
  • Basic:
  • Bachelor's Degree required / Master's Degree preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a wide variety of environments
  • Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Full Stack Developer (Required):
  • Experience in these languages preferred - Node.JS, Python, PHP with flexibility to learn other languages as needed
  • Great understanding with AWS (Amazon Web Services), certification in AWS preferred, but not require - must understand and be able to work with: S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53, RDS, EC2, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateways
  • Strong core relational database concepts (MySQL, PostgreSQL)/data modeling
  • Experience with Linux and comfortable administering headless servers in the cloud
  • Basic understanding of Android and iOS development to be able to run builds, code review and create new releases for current and future technologies
  • Agile development experience including an understanding of modern system performance enhancement and data security
  • Full Stack Developer (Desired):
  • Comfortable setting up AWS VPCs, security groups, onsite to cloud tunnels
  • Understanding of NoSQL eg. couchDB and dynamoDB
  • Understanding of frameworks, specifically Selenium, Laravel and Angular
  • Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience with Docker
