API is looking for a seasoned System Administrator to join our API Team.

Alvarado Parkway Institute (API) provides comprehensive adult inpatient behavioral health and addictive disorders services in a 66 bed hospital setting located in La Mesa, California. API offers a variety of Outpatient Services designed to assist patients in functioning at the highest level. API provides Partial Hospitalization services and Intensive Outpatient services. These programs emphasize symptom management, community integration and prevention of hospitalization or re-hospitalization. Value added services enhance the patient's treatment experience. Responsibilities Include:
Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 to support operational network services and maintain SLA (Service Levels) to include: User Profiles, File Management, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Group Policy Management, MS Office Suite, MS Outlook Exchange. Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot vSphere ESXi hosts, vSphere Environment, SANS and Veeam Backup and Restore. Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Switches, VLAns, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Remote Access and Infrastructure Security utilizing our FortiNet NGFW Security Suite of tools. The ability to learn and work in a fast paced environment are crucial to your success in this small IT group.

Roles and Technologies:
Administration and maintenance of our VMWare/VSphere/HP ESXi infrastructure
Administration and maintenance of Microsoft Servers 2008/2012/2016
Administration and maintenance of UNIX Servers (Red Hat/Ubuntu/CentOS)
Administration and maintenance of our SAN environment
Administration and maintenance of our Fortinet NGFW systems including Firewalls, FortiManager, FortiMail, VPNs, etc.
Network Administration of all Switches, LAN segmentation, VLANs, etc.
Administration of our Veeam Backup & Restore system, including job creation, repository provisioning, monitoring and periodic testing of all backup jobs
Provide technical support to Tier 1 & 2 technical support personnel of the IT department
Be available for "On-Call” rotation to support any emergencies on a 24x7 basis

Knowledge, Skills:
Certifications such as: MCSA, MCSE, CCNP, CISSP, ISSEP, VCA, VCP, etc.
2-3 Years as System Administrator with varying experience with most of the above technologies
Must possess strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independantly
Experience in a Healthcare/HIPPA/Joint Commission covered organization is preferred
Exercises sound judgment and critical thinking when selecting and deploying technologies in support of our end user community
Applies critical thinking to troubleshoot problems quickly, under time constraints, with interruptions all while resolving issues in a timely manner
Must provide an excellent service-oriented attitude and effectively communicate with a diverse user community at all levels of the organization
Experience in a Healthcare/HIPPA/Joint Commission covered organization is preferred
