Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
The CCB Risk Data Management organization is a center of excellence team responsible for providing data management support to the CCB Risk organization. The team partners with each sub-LOB risk group and provides guidance, training, and production support on data management initiatives impacting CCB Risk Management. The CCB Risk Data Management
team also interacts with CCB Data Management, Firmwide Data Management, and numerous Chief Data Offices across the firm as
we are the primary interface to data management requirements impacting CCB Risk
Responsibilities of the Senior Data Management Analyst
The CCB Risk Data Management VP will be a critical member of the CCB Risk Data Management team where they will partner and help lead the management and execution of Firmwide Data Management (FDM) initiatives that impact the CCB Risk Organization. They will work closely with other members of CCB Risk Data Management, Firmwide Data Management, and CCB Data Management to ensure that CCB Risk is engaged and in alignment with all strategic initiatives that support compliance with the Firmwide Data Governance Policy and Standards.
Individual contributor supporting CCB Risk Data Management / Consumer Risk Chief Data Office partnership and engagement with Firmwide Data Management as well as CCB Data Management / CCB Chief Data Office teams
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the CCB Risk Organization with regard Firmwide Data Management (FDM) Initiatives and their impact to CCB Risk
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the CCB Risk Organization with regard CCB Data Management (CCB DM) Initiatives and their impact to CCB Risk
Support governance and oversight processes aligned to Data Governance initiatives, within Risk and Compliance and CCB.
Support the definition and build out of processes to comply with Data Governance Standards, Firmwide and CCB Level, that impact CCB / Consumer Risk.
Define and Implement processes for CCB / Consumer Risk to comply with Firmwide Data Governance Standards related to Data Description and Data Lineage, a.k.a. Data Landscape
Develop processes to provide regular communication to appropriate stakeholders across Risk and Compliance, specifically in CCB / Consumer Risk
Escalate Issues appropriately through Leadership and/or the appropriate Data Governance Forum(s).
Ensure adherence to appropriate controls for Audit purposes.
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of related data management/data governance and/or related experience in any of the following disciplines: Risk Management, Business Analysis, Process Analysis or Process Improvement or Business Reporting / Analytics
Strong knowledge of banking/ financial services/ regulatory compliance and internal control principles
Comfortable working across multiple organizational levels and functional areas
Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information quickly and assess impacts to data elements.
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
Highly organized as the role requires keeping up with the ever changing environment. Examples include new and improved tools and methodology to maintain the data quality and integrity.
Minimal direction required. CCB Risk Data Management VP will work closely with other stakeholders and are expected to independently provide information related to their individual and group’s book of work, and provide input into prioritization.
Leverage demonstrated though leadership to implement complex scenarios and to develop value added processes to support business issues/initiatives.
Experience with Firmwide Data Management or CCB Data Management tools/applications, including but not limited to DNA, BSX/DFR, DataFit, DataBook, DQM, MDR, MRDx, DMP, a plus.
Experience with Metadata Management / Data Lineage Tools (Collibra, Ab Initio, Informatica, etc.) or equivalents a plus.
Experience with Big Data Tools (Hadoop, Cassandra, Cloudera, Hortonworks) or equivalents a plus.
Experience writing queries and analyzing related queries a plus
