Under the direction of the Patient Safety and Quality Manager, the Performance Improvement Coordinator analyzes and extrapolates key data elements into the Core Measure database and also performs chart audits and reviews for compliance. Data accuracy and timeliness is maintained to support ongoing needs of internal quality review and process improvement as well for reporting to outside agencies.

Casual Status, Days (12hrs/wk.) 2 days per week, 8:00am-2:00pm
2+ years’ experience reviewing medical records required. 2+ years of experience abstracting and analyzing core measures preferred; or RN with 2+ years of clinical experience preferred. Associate of Science in Health Information Management or related field required. Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management or graduate of an accredited school of Nursing preferred. Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of PA strongly preferred. Ability to interpret informational content of medical records. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficient in Medical Terminology and Clinical Medicine.
