HDMS is seeking a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our Customer Experience Team. The Consultant is responsible for helping clients and prospects use DART analytics for underwriting, stop loss reporting and risk analysis.
Become an expert at using DART for underwriting, IBNR analysis, stop loss analysis and reporting, benefits design. care management ROI analyses, and risk selection.
Be a member of HDMSs Thought Leadership team by serving on HDMSs speakers bureau, and preparing white papers and case studies.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert during Pilots and Proof of Concepts with HDMS prospects.
Consult with HDMS customers and members of the Customer Experience Team on the use of DART for underwriting, stop loss reporting, plan design and risk analysis.
Expand HDMS capabilities by recommending new analytic pathways, standard reports, methodologies for the HDMS Product Roadmap,
Manage HDMSs relationship with The Terry Group, HDMSs outside actuarial consultants.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for HDMS Forecast product and consult on its future direction as a product/service.
Participate in sales activities by participating in meetings and/or responding to prospect questions.
Stay current on trends in marketplace and the competition and its impact on HDMS competitive position.
Identify opportunities for HDMS to partner with third parties to benefit our clients.
10+ years of underwriting and/or reinsurance experience either at a health plan, large employer or consulting firm.
Credentialed actuary ASA or FSA.
Experience with predictive modeling and advanced analytics in healthcare.
Experience in marketing and/or sales.
Experience in giving presentations at conferences as well as preparing content for marketing materials.
A passion for teamwork, customer service and solving business problems.
Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
