Full Job Description
Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's of Science degree in Nursing. If credentialed under the requirements of a baccalaureate degree, can continue to be recertified through obtaining the necessary CEUs without earning a Master's Degree. Must provide a current state Registration for nursing, or endorsement by State Board of Nursing. Must have current certification as a Nurse Practitioner; or must obtain within 90 days of hire. Must have current CPR certification. Must have current certification for National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners through DOT or must obtain within first 90 days. Healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; and assist with 100 pounds.
Summary: The Nurse Practitioner shall perform as an independent and interdependent member of the health care team providing Occupational Health services. Follows established nurse practitioner protocols and guidelines. Orders appropriate diagnostic and lab tests. As necessary collaborates with the physician. Participates in quality assurance activity and appropriate utilization of health care resources.
