Denny Menholt Rapid Chevrolet located in the Black Hills is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager. Previous automotive dealership experience is essential, we are looking for the right candidate with a vision of success to take us to the next level!

The Automotive Parts Manager helps lead a team of parts professionals to deliver exceptional value and satisfaction to our customers on a continuous basis. Helps plan, train, lead, and monitor the performance of parts counter people and support staff to promote 100% customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives. This management position is responsible for the parts operation which includes both the employee experience as well as the experience for our clients. Responsible for running a successful operation which includes the development of talent and the overall production and profitability of the department.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee all department employees and business practices
  • Maintain efficient, profitable parts operations and inventory control system
  • Analyze turnover rate and inventory levels; maintain fast/slow moving parts
  • Develop stock ordering procedures to optimize parts inventory and meet factory standards
  • Work with Service Manager and Service Advisors striving for harmony and teamwork
  • Make sure all department employees complete all manufacturer training in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with the manufacturer representatives
  • Possess proficient knowledge of DMS and Manufacturer websites
  • Create a positive experience at the “counter" for retail, wholesale and shop customers
  • Perform all daily, monthly, and annual reporting needs
  • Develop a parts process for the efficient flow of parts ordering and customer notification for sales and service departments

You should possess the following:

  • 3 years of automotive parts managerial experience
  • Successful track record with dealership parts experience
  • Stellar work ethic, outgoing and personable team member
  • Proven leadership ability to mentor and train team members
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills
  • Exemplary communication and customer service skills
  • Pass background screening, pre-placement drug screening and must have an acceptable MVR
