As a Senior DBA your primarily responsibilities are ensuring the availability and smooth operation of our non-production database servers which support our Siebel application, OBIEE application, and SOLIDWORKS brand websites. You will work closely with vendor to help solve production database issues. You will assist in reviewing and deploying SQL code as well as maintain the refreshing of internal environments. Other duties include documentation, scripting, database operations, application support, and troubleshooting. You will provide technical expertise and guidance to the DBA team as well as other internal development staff.

What will your job be?
Support the Business Systems by providing Operational and DBA support
Maintain Sandbox, Development, QA, UAT database servers supporting Siebel, OBIEE, and brand website
Maintain DB standards, capacity planning, DB maintenance plan, and security policy
Lend assistance and support at maintaining the proper database architecture \ structures required by applications
Create, review, and maintain effective database-coupled application logic – SP’s, Triggers, and UDFs.
Provide architectural input and direction for DS’s evolving database environments
Implement enhancements and updates to ensure technology is most current
Maintain monitoring and error reporting systems as well as respond to security or usability concerns
Work closely with our Vendor to Monitor and tune production performance
Responsible for documenting DB operation processes
Provide developer support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
Work closely with developers to ensure that appropriate and efficient SQL is being coded and tested
Lend assistance and support Query optimization and tuning
Facilitate movement of scripts, DB objects, and data through Development, QA, and Production
Occasionally lend assistance on database development work (SSIS, data massaging, and data migration)
Provide support during Application Release, upgrade processes during off-hours period
Perform database refresh operations
Your key success factors
In-depth understanding of Windows 2008\2012\2016 OS features and related administration utilities/tools
Understanding of underlying infrastructure in which database systems reside, ie SAN, Network, Firewalls, Load balancers, Application servers, Web servers, various DR solutions
Proficient skills using MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016
T-SQL performance tuning and optimization skills
Experience with Cluster & Always-On Availability group setup
Ability to work independently and/or within a collaborative team structure
Highly organized with critical attention to details
Possess new technology curiosity and a history of self-technical education; you are not nervous about what you don’t know in technology, but excited about it due to your curiosity
Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Access or SQL
Strong communication skills in two parts: 1.) very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar; 2.) verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
Conferred Bachelor degree
Work onsite at Dassault Systèmes; no remote or offsite permitted
Plusses, not required
SSIS & Scripting experience
Conferred Masters degree
At least one additional language other than English, such as (but not limited to), French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc
