This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Position hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Hours will vary based on game and event schedules.

The Manager of Events and Game Operations is responsible for managing, implementing, and coordinating events for Athletics and Recreation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and execute events including logistics requiring coordination with internal and external partners in an effective and efficient manner and acting as the primary point of contact. Events include home athletic contests (regular and post-season) and events for external parties and campus partners. Responsibilities include staffing events; developing and maintaining procedure manuals; administering event contracts; developing and maintaining hosting protocols; coordinating and organizing meetings between department staff (i.e. coaches, marketing and promotions) and administration; and creating, maintaining, and communicating event and facilities schedules with external and internal units, coaches, and visiting teams.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise event staff.
Assist with facilities operations, outside of regular event responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience or equivalent education and experience to equal 6 years.
Experience in collegiate athletics.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to effectively multi-task and manage a variety of complex projects.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate and interact positively with students, faculty, staff, and the broader university community.
Team oriented with a strong commitment to organizational culture and student-athlete development.
The hiring range for this position is $40,502 - $51,597 annually.

The Manager for Events & Game Operations provides event coordination for more than 100 home athletic contests each year, including regular and NCAA postseason tournaments, as well as numerous special events, including fundraising and alumni functions, department meetings, and campus activities. The Manager for Events & Game Operations reports to and assists the Athletics Facilities Manager in managing and operating the portfolio of facilities for the Department of Athletics, including those facilities used for intercollegiate athletics, physical education, intramural and sport club programs, and recreational activities.
