SnapStream is a growing Houston-based SaaS software company. We make on-premise and cloud software that our customers use to record, search (by the closed captions) and distribute television and video. Customers include The Daily Show, U.S. Senate, Pentagon, NPR, CBS, NBCUniversal, and a few hundred others.

SnapStream wants to hire a Sales Development Representative in Washington, D.C. that can engage in strategic sales development and contribute to the company’s sales pipeline and, ultimately, revenue. This is a remote position so the ability to work independently is a must. Activity logs will be monitored to ensure aggressive outreach is conducted daily.

Sales development activities include finding target prospects in various target markets using tools like Twitter and LinkedIn and, well, the Internet. SDRs then develop touch patterns, including email outreach, phone outreach and InMail outreach, aligning messaging to use-cases within the target market. Finally SDRs execute the touch patterns, customizing messaging where appropriate, using automation tools such as Hubspot, with the ultimate goal of setting meetings with account executives and handing off the leads. Outreach is highly-personalized so a viable candidate will have an impeccable attention to detail and be a great writer while maintaining high emotional intelligence. While the person hired will begin as an SDR the career track for this role will be to grow into a Junior Account Executive and, ultimately, an Account Executive, over several years’ time.

Responsibilities:
Understand a target market and their use-cases for SnapStream
Create and understand ideal customer profiles (ICPs)
Build "touch patterns" with ICP targeted messaging
Execute on touch patterns using tools (such as Hubspot)
Successfully communicate with customers electronically and by phone
Schedule meetings for an Account Executive
Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years of software (SaaS) company experience
Comfortable using technology tools to gain maximum efficiency
Experience using sales and marketing automation platforms (such as Hubspot)
Familiarity with tools such as Google Docs, Twitter, LinkedIn
Strong Slack and Giphy skills
Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
Ability to handle rejection daily
