Minimum qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or Mathematics.

5 years of experience in operations or program management (i.e., abuse or policy management, implementing and operationalizing strategies, cross-functional initiatives management).

Experience in project management and Telecommunications/Internet infrastructure projects.

Ability to travel as required.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience as a network engineer at a large-scale organization before transitioning into program/project management.

Experience with load balancing and Edge Computing concepts such as Content Delivery Networks (CDN).

Experience working in an IP network planning or implementation role at an ISP, telecoms operator, carrier or CDN.

Track record of automation and process improvement.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Edge Infrastructure Optimization (EIO) is focused on medium and long term projects that optimize the cost, scale, and agility of the Edge Network.

Google has a growing global portfolio of latency sensitive services that require distributed local infrastructure on the Edge Network. On the Edge Infrastructure Optimization team, you will be responsible for insuring Google can continue to scale with the alongside global systems, process, and economies.

Work with internal customers to ensure that our Edge services are delivered optimally, economically, and can scale to meet demand. Ensure we have the right systems and costs to support the customers business needs.

Coordinate customer demands with several internal teams to optimize the process and systems used to deliver and support the customer.

Analyze network performance, costs, and traffic data. Use this analyses to contribute to long-term planning or our platforms and market strategies.

Act as a product advocate and technical contributor in discussions of network topology, performance, and provisioning related to Edge services.

Provide technical assistance to network architects and engineers in defining designs which improve cost, performance, and reliability for Edge services.
