Mount Vernon Country Club is a green oasis hidden among the bustling suburbs of southeast Fairfax County in Alexandria, Virginia. Located on George Washington's former farmland, the Club offers its members a family friendly atmosphere, a championship golf course, relaxing pool, fun social activities for members of all ages and exquisite dining and meeting facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as “second-in-command” of all kitchen operations, food production, and employee relations. The Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in all essential responsibilities of the job (i.e. production, ordering, sanitation, presentation). S/he must utilize proper serving procedures. S/he must represent the company with the utmost integrity and professionalism. S/he is also expected to present and maintain a professional appearance.
Assume role of Executive Chef during his/her absence.
Ensures all food is prepared to the specification and satisfaction of the membership.
Menu Planning & Costing
Ensure kitchen meets or exceeds Health Department Rules and regulations.
Works all stations when needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends & holidays.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience necessary
ServSafe Certified/ Virginia Food Manager License
Private Club Experience preferred
Lifts up to and including 50 pounds without assistance
Complete a Criminal Background Check
