Candidates must have a strong knowledge base of digital media Operations including video, display and connected TV. Advanced TV and insights-based advertising experience a plus. The Business Operations Manager is expected to provide the guidance, infrastructure and support to business growth from $0 to a scaled, efficient business capable of delivering a billion or more in revenues. He/She is expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
The Business Operations Director will report directly to the Head of Operations and be based in the NYC office. Role and Responsibilities
Specific & team responsibilities include:
Lead, build and develop business operations team consisting of 4 direct reports today with a keen ability to manage remote resources, staff, contractors and consultants
Align with Head of Ad Operations to develop, implement and enforce Ad Operations processes & policies for the Ad Ops/QA teams to follow
Develop, implement and enforce Sales Operations processes, policies & workflows for sales teams to follow
Build an organization that provides Tier 1 Tech Ops support & solutions for Ad Campaign issues on and off-shore who can diagnose & resolve issues or escalate to SAMAUNG Eng. teams as required
Create a playbook and team that will work with & certify external vendors on the Samsung Ads platform
Responsible for all Insertion Order (media contracts) approval, signature and administration which often requires inclusion of Samsung legal and the Global Privacy office
Establish and enforce business policy compliance for all media on platform via Ad Operations and Sales
Build, partner and manage the development of a sales tech stack Infrastructure (multiple integrated pieces of technology & partners). Own C-level relationship & management of all partners & platforms that are part of the Samsung Ads pitch-to-to pay workflow
Create infrastructure and resource vision & roadmap that will enable a start-up to a scaled, efficient business capable of delivering a billion or more in revenues
Own all Operational commercial product launch preparation and liaison with Product and Engineering on behalf of Operations team(s)
Drive & influence internal Product & Engineering development on Operations platform requirements
Skills and Qualifications
12 to 15+ years of relevant work experience with Bachelor degree
8+ years working in an organization that supports the Advertising Sales function with F100 brands
Recognized leader in digital or within your organizations
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field
Must be task driven & have the ability hit key deliverable deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail, ability to multitask and strong organizational skills required
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and within matrix organizations
Deep understanding of the digital advertising space, with knowledge of programmatic landscape, Connected TV & upcoming technologies, industry trends, and major players
Project Management experience with strong analytical skills in order to build business cases with strategic and data insight, and models for budgets and support resources
