Performs plant operation services under the supervision of the Facilities Manager/Safety Officer and in accordance with established hospital and departmental Mission statements, policies, procedures, standards and regulatory requirements. This position supports the hospital and department’s goal of providing quality services in the most cost effective and efficient manner to the hospital’s patients, staff, physical plant, equipment and grounds. Focused on continuous quality improvement. The essential job functions revolve around the Safety Management Program, Life Safety Management Program and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program.

Job Requirements

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Experience:
Must be able to climb ladders, stoop bend, lift up to 50 lbs. And use mechanical tools and equipment. Previous maintenance experience required.

Reports to the Facilities Manager/Safety Officer. In contact with hospital staff, administration, doctors and their staff members, vendors, contractors, and most importantly, our patients and their families and friends

Environmental Demands:
Indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. Exposure to weather, infectious agents, cleaning fluids, mechanical equipment, machinery with moving parts.
