Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community. We are currently recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer on our Leadership Team.
The SVP Chief Financial Officer is responsible for financial oversight of the organization including the financial and revenue cycle performance, inventory management, third party contract management, and overall contract negotiations within defined hospital policy and objectives.
CPA Preferred. Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and verbal, interpersonal and quantitative skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Knowledge of financial management and analysis principles and techniques and mangerial skills typically acquired through two or three years of experience in public accounting, specifically in health care auditing (when applied to small hospitals) or up to four to six additional years' experience as a hospital controller (when applied to larger hospitals). Innovation in a progressive and highly regulated environment. Keen communication and negotiation skills. Highly motivated to achieve high performance results.
Has effective verbal and written communication skills: keeps the Board, Medical Staff and employees informed on facility specific and relevant industry issues. Recognizes the customer's perspective and works well with various customer groups. Is approachable, listens well and genuinely solicits and considers viewpoints and ideas from others. Includes Board relations, physician relations, employee relations, patient and community relations. Recognizes HCAHPS scores are key elements that drive financial success of NMC.
