Reporting directly to the SVP of Cyber Intelligence, the part-time Marketing Specialist provides oversight of assigned cyber marketing projects, including marketing consultation, establishing goals and objectives, providing creative communication direction, exercising strategies to implement marketing efforts, and working collaboratively with IWP leadership and staff to help advance the goals of the Institute. This position will analyze the market, develop marketing materials, and evaluate the effectiveness of cyber marketing and promotional effort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and past local, regional, or national marketing data to help determine overall cyber marketing strategy; Research and data collection regarding target audiences to establish better strategies.
  • Assist with the development and writing of cyber marketing materials, such as plans, recommendations and presentations; Assisting in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, etc.)
  • Create engaging cyber content and posts for social media assets to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Use photography, videography and related editing software to develop compelling cyber visual assets that advance the Institute’s cyber mission, vision and strategic goals.
  • Ensure marketing ideas coincide with IWP’s brand and mission statement; Evaluates the effectiveness of all cyber marketing and promotional effort.
  • Collaborates with staff, faculty and administrators to execute cyber communication and marketing activities including promotional materials, advertising, comprehensive marketing campaigns, multimedia, publications, etc.
  • Liaise with external vendors to execute cyber promotional events and campaigns.

Successful candidates will have:

Associate degree in marketing, public relations, communications, graphic arts, or closely related field with three years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, graphic arts, or closely related field with one year of experience executing creative design solutions for marketing challenges. Marketing experience in higher education preferred. Certified Marketing Analyst (CMA) preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and digital photography preferred.
