ESCAPE CAMPERVANS is a unique and fast-growing travel company that rents custom-built campervans across North America. We provide a budget-friendly, functional and fun vehicle for weekends away, cross-country road trips, and everything in between. Perfect for couples, families, and friends, we strive to inspire adventure and exploration off-the-beaten path. Our teams have local knowledge and expertise to help our renters get the most out of their vacation, and all of our vans are hand-painted by local artists in LA. It’s about the freedom and spontaneity the van gives you to explore the beauties of our planet in a safe and fun way.
Founded in 2009 in LA, we now have 450+ vans across 13 locations – LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, New York, Phoenix, Miami, Atlanta, Portland, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, and Calgary. We are an energetic, inspired, and entrepreneurial team. We have a passion for travel and believe in the power of adventure. And we all wear a lot of hats.
Escape Campervans is growing very quickly which means we get a LOT of inbound interest. We need the right person to be our first touch point, the first friendly face, to answer questions and excite customers about their upcoming trip. We also need this person to solve customer problems and energize potential customers about booking an amazing trip with Escape.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to complaint & problem resolution, handling incoming phone calls & e-mail requests, expediting/routing reservation and roadside assistance calls. This person will be the first and primary point of contact for most Escape customers.
Provide warm and enthusiastic customer service throughout the entire rental process
Ensure that customer questions, complaints and issues are resolved or escalated/routed to the appropriate person
Follow the Company Brand Manifesto and Brand Identity Guidelines at all times
Assist with the end of day close out procedure and in-person van checkouts
Encourage customers to provide social media feedback & reviews on Google. Yelp, etc.
Convey any issues to management as they arise
Clean and detail vans as necessary
Other tasks as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong professional telephone presence
Polished professional presence and demeanor
Ability to make decisions and work with little supervision
Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks with a positive attitude
Dynamic, organized, detailed and time management oriented
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Self-confident, self-motivated, self-starter, flexible, results-oriented and success driven
Ability to learn software applications used in the daily operations of the business
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred
1 – 3 years of sales or customer service experience
Must be 21 years of age and have a clean driving record.
Experience in the travel/hospitality industry preferred, but not required
Camping/road trip travel experience
