Reporting to the Vice President of Talent, the Director will oversee the timely and successful execution of the enterprise-wide talent strategy (including Talent Acquisition and Talent Management and Development), planning, operational efficiencies and process improvements as well as other strategic initiatives such as on-boarding, internal mobility, and special projects. This person will also be responsible for goal and measurement tracking and reporting for the Talent organization. Additionally, this person will support the Talent Workday technology design and implementation and help lead change management efforts. The ideal candidate will manage a function capable of meeting the needs of a large and complex aerospace and defense company and an ever-changing talent landscape and be able to lead others in a matrix environment. The successful candidate will effectively communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for creating strategic concepts and translating them to execution to produce business outcomes. Responsibilities:
Overseeing and driving timely and successful execution of the enterprise-wide talent strategy, planning, operational efficiencies and process improvements.
Partner with the People Analytics and Diversity and Inclusion teams to align talent operation efforts and identify metrics to measure impact.
Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in the talent domain including line of sight to internal and external best practices and adopt for the enterprise as appropriate.
Identify talent intersection points across functional and sector partners (inside and outside of HR) to deliver an integrated approach and employee experience across our talent processes.
Support Talent organizational design efforts to include alignment of resources against budget requirements. Lead annual budget planning efforts for Talent organization and partner with the Business Management organization to ensure visibility and reporting cadence of expenses against budget targets.
Lead Talent organization communications and operating rhythm cadence to ensure enterprise line of insight to core processes and initiatives. Work with/across Talent team and with partner functions to ensure work streams/communications are integrated to provide the right employee experience for our stakeholders.
Support the design and implementation of Talent Workday technology integration and lead change management efforts for the function.
Lead strategic enterprise initiatives for the Talent organization to include on-boarding, internal mobility and other special projects
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, organizational development, human resources, or closely related field is required.
Minimum of 12+ years of mixed experience in leading successful projects/programs or a role demonstrating expertise in strategizing and implementing organizational and/or talent management solutions to include change management, or talent management and development.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and navigate ambiguous situations
Demonstrated experience both developing a talent strategy and driving its successful execution for the business
Demonstrated experience leading medium-large teams of direct and indirect leadership teams to drive successful business and functional outcomes
Experience collaborating with and influencing senior leaders (VPs) to ensure client-satisfaction regarding project and/or process goals and objectives and strategic initiatives
Must be willing to travel (25%) of the time
Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time programs in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills with an ability to manage multiple clients with multiple needs in an efficient and effective manner.
Systems and strategic thinking.
Executive level presentation experience and proven proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
Desired experience includes Human Resources/Talent or line of business experience to include project or program management, with strong knowledge and understanding of talent management, and internal consulting practices.
Experience in consulting / coaching senior leadership and expertise in change management and strategic communication strongly preferred.
Demonstrated capability in process improvement implementation.
