Associate Vice President, Enrollment Services

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking an Associate Vice President, Enrollment Services to provide leadership, direction and evaluation of college functions related to student enrollment and financial aid.

This position reports to the Vice President, Student Services and essential responsibilities include:

Provide leadership in the development of appropriate goals and outcome measures to ensure continuous assessment and improvement in all departments within the enrollment services departments.
Assess all areas of responsibility to recommend retention, modification, and/or implementation of new services.
Supervise and evaluate direct reports and provide counsel in the supervision and evaluation of their staff.
Ensure departmental compliance with college policies and procedures and state and federal laws, including ICCB policy and FERPA.
Provide leadership and supervision for all admissions, records and registration activities, including tuition billing and collection.
Collaborate with Institutional Research to develop appropriate internal and external data reports and schedules and provide support for timely and accurate external reporting for all financial aid and enrollment services related reporting.
Collaborate with academic services administrators and oversee the Data Centralization Specialist in the preparation of the master class schedule.
Provide leadership and supervision for the placement and testing center operations and activities.
Serve as the College’s representative to the United States Department of Education, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, the United States Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the State of Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
In conjunction with the Director – Financial Aid, establish procedures regarding the awarding and processing of financial aid in compliance with federal, state, private and institutional regulations and guidelines.
Oversee the administration and reconciliation of federal Title IV, state, LLCC, VA, and various scholarship funds.
Monitor College policies and procedures for possible impact on all areas of responsibility.
Periodically review and revise enrollment services-related college policy/procedure to ensure consistency with college mission/goals. Recommend new enrollment services related policies/procedures as needed.
Monitor state and federal legislation and provide counsel regarding its impact on the College.
Coordinate technical activities, such as software development/enhancement, updating of Colleague and/or WebAdvisor/Self-Service, maintenance of web pages, etc.
In coordination with the IT department, recommend necessary changes and improvements to the Student Information System.
Oversee the development and management of enrollment services departmental budgets.
Respond to and resolve student concerns issues related to areas of responsibility.
Facilitate internal partnerships between enrollment services, student services, academic services, information technology, workforce development and administrative services to ensure effective collaboration.
Collaborate with the Public Relations and Marketing office to ensure accurate and appropriately timed communication with the general public with regard to enrollment opportunities and deadlines.

Position Requirements
A master’s degree, preferably in Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related area, and at least five years of supervisory experience in an academic setting, preferably at a community college, with responsibility for some or all facets of student enrollment, especially financial aid is required.

Additional requirements include:
Excellent analytical and oral/written communication skills
Experience with relational student information databases, such as Colleague
Experience with governmental compliance and reporting
