*Senior Quality Engineer



  • Interface with customers and coordinate internal efforts to improve processes.
  • Compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and any customer specific quality requirements through collaborative efforts in equipment and process validations and design of experiments for process qualifications.
  • Internal Audits for compliance with customer requirements relating to AS9100, ISO 9001 and other industry standards or regulatory requirements.
  • Lead process activity as it relates to customer or internal quality. Ensure timely resolution of quality problems and implement long-term solutions to prevent re-occurrence of problem.
  • Ensure all data from inspections is collected, reported and effectively utilized to drive for continual improvement. Provide support for areas of manufacturing in creating reports and metrics that are relevant to their areas.
  • Facilitate SPC/Corrective action meetings, as, needed, working with Quality Engineers and cross functional teams, interpret condition of SPC charts, determine if any corrective/preventive action is necessary and assign appropriate individuals responsible for the correction action.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree from four-year college or university; plus minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Auditor certification training and experience per the requirements related to ISO9001 and AS9100 preferred. Experience with SPC systems and Solid Works working in a fast paced manufacturing environment is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: To define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

ABOUT US: We are a growing company in Colorado Springs that is looking for a Quality engineer to help improve our processes and streamline our production. Our facility is 50,000 square feet and we specialize in precision machining, sheet metal and powder coating. The parts we produce cover a wide variety of different industries such as medical, food, aerospace and energy just to name a few.
