Job Title: Sales Manager - North East Region

Location: Remote (Home Office)

Job Summary
Manages the sale of products and services in a specified geographic area through assigned sales engineers and reps and sales office activities. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Manage, lead, motivate, develop and coach a sales team of Sales Engineers
  • Responsible for sales growth and profitability
  • Develop and maintain solid distribution strategy
  • Implementation of sales activities (i.e. Promotions, New products, All Star, local campaigns)
  • Support and manage development of marketing activities (i.e. CPP, new marketing concepts)
  • Provide sales forecast and plan
  • Manage and monitor achievement of goals and performance (i.e. plan, forecasts, OPEX/T&D, KPIs)
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure it's strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of Sales Engineers
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews
  • Succession planning and mentoring
Requirements
  • 8-10 Years experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant field
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience or non-degreed with 12 or more years of relevant experience
  • 3 or more years of management experience
  • Successful previous experience as a sales engineer or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • In depth understanding of the metal cutting or precision tooling industry
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Ability to apply technical solutions to customers
  • Understanding of contracts and previous experience leading commercial negotiations is preferred
