Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Assistant with skills and knowledge in Pain Management to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pain management clinic and contribute to delivering the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pain management team to assist in patient assessments, evaluations, and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures, taking vital signs and documenting medical histories accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during pain management procedures, offering support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Educate patients about pain management techniques, procedures, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Provide exceptional patient-centered care, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in taking accurate vital signs, administering injections, and handling medical equipment.
- Understanding of pain management procedures, techniques, and terminology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
