As an Assistant Superintendent, you help the Project Superintendent direct the daily activities of new construction job sites for a multi-million dollar, multifamily apartment home community.

Roles You'll Play

THE RIGHT-HAND PERSON

Serve as the Project Superintendent’s eyes and ears on new construction job sites, supporting all field operations and coordinating subcontractor work
Communicate schedules, plans, and specifications with subcontractors and field staff
Monitor daily activities and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles
Help inspect completed and in-progress structures and sites for safety, compliance, and conformance to material and structural specs

THE GO-GETTER

Ensure projects are built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures
Work with the Project Superintendent to develop and manage construction budgets and schedules
Mentor field personnel like a pro, assisting with punch list work as needed
Take charge and respond quickly to unexpected events at your job site, resolving problems as they arise

THE CARETAKER

Ensure everyone on the job site is supported and positioned to do their best work
Guarantee our commitment to building the right way, using the most cost-effective means, while staying on schedule or even ahead of schedule
Make sure all work is completed in a safe and organized manner – complying fully with government rules, our Safety/Zero Harm program, and the job’s budget and time restraints

Your Building Blocks of Success

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred
Solid presentation skills and able to communicate effectively with a diverse array of people
Motivated self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and business ethics
Strong ability to thrive in a team environment
Commitment to quality, demonstrated by the ability to evaluate project-related processes and customer inputs and then drive necessary improvements
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
