Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Dog Walker / animal handler to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a love for animals and enjoy spending time outdoors while providing exceptional care to our furry friends. We are looking for part time hours during the week, Monday-Friday. We are also looking for weekend workers. A MINIMUM of 2 weekends a month.
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the animals in your care
- Provide basic training reinforcement during walks
- Keep accurate records of each walk, including distance and any noteworthy behaviors
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's well-being
Experience
- Previous experience in pet care, animal care, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of dog behavior and body language in preferred but not required
- Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments - We do not work with aggressive animals with a bite history
- Customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively
Requirements
- Must have a reliable means of transportation - We service Downtown Milwaukee, Bay View, Third Ward, Tosa, Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, West Allis, Oak Creek, Fox Point, St Francis, and more.
- Must have a working smart phone
- Must be able to work independently in a fast pace setting
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
