Our Fabrics Division is seeking a Supply Chain Sustainability Champion to help drive building the capabilities needed to execute our sustainability strategy at pace. The Divisional Sustainability Team has been formed to develop strategy, initiatives and implementation plans in support of these efforts. Acting as the Supply Chain Sustainability Liaison you will participate in strategy development and drive ownership and integration of these efforts into the Fabrics Supply Chain organization. The role can be located in one of the Gore plants on the US East coast, Scotland or Bavaria.
In more detail, your responsibilities are:
Be the supply chain partner to the sustainability team in developing and executing a divisional sustainability strategy, representing the supply chain team on the Strategy and Business Engagement Team.
Partner with the supply chain leadership team to drive clarity on priorities, implement and sustain a sustainability facility strategy for all locations including; initiatives, project funnels, metrics and outcomes.
Utilize internal and external resources to benchmark the sustainability performance of the Fabrics’ supply chain organization, drive clarity on targeted performance, and initiate closing gaps in a sustaining way.
Establish and drive implementation of divisional standards in light of changing manufacturing business models.
Drive broad understanding of the intent, plan and the priorities as well as drive ownership and integration of sustainability criteria, tools and processes into the supply chain organization, e.g.
HIGG Facility Module adoption
Sustainment of ISO14000 verification, including setting quantitative goals on carbon, waste and water and improving our Higg scores
Develop a supplier road map for sustainability improvements, adoption of HIGG Facility module and sourcing environmental data from global supply chains
Develop the capacity, capability and infrastructure that provides ownership, sustainment and governance including: managing and storing data, communication of requirements, verification of product compliance and documentation of product sign off with supply partners.
Participate through industry cooperation in the further development of global facility related science based industry tools (e.g. HIGG tools).
Coordinate with Enterprise sustainability activities and integrate in change processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
5 year experience within an industrial environment; with a proven track record of implementing sustainability programs in complex manufacturing organizations.
Demonstrated ability to drive and influence in a global, cross functional environment.
Proven ability to plan strategically and engage tactically.
Ability to act as a self-starter in a global team with passion for sustainability.
Very good, effective communicating skills internally, cross culturally and externally.
Fluency in English.
