Location: Orlando, FL
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other management team members supporting the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, benefits administration, workers compensation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.
Scope of Responsibility:
Conduct weekly onboarding of newly hired employees and enter new hire; termination; transfer information paperwork in HRIS.
Coordinate health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration.
Interview potential applicants on experience, skill and education.
Conduct a continuous recruitment process by coordinating postings, reviewing resumes and telephone interviews.
Keep employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes the HRIS system in a timely fashion.
Reconcile/validate data entry to ensure data integrity and support routine reporting request. This includes running monthly reports.
General HR related administrative duties.
Develop and implement initiatives around employee training, development, reward, recognition and retention related programs.
Assist with performance management/compliance.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
At least five (5) years experience of Human Resources related functions and programs.
Excellent written, communication and decision-making skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team-oriented setting.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and execute assignments with dynamic deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to execute a high level of confidentiality.
Overnight travel up to 50%.
Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations (i.e., SHRM) and ongoing community involvement preferred.
Five (5) years experience in a management/supervisory role preferred.
