The eLearning and Development Specialist leads the delivery, development and implementation of online enterprise-wide patient experience training and development programs. Provides direction and input on the design and development of curricula and courseware. Conducts program evaluation and analysis of training and development programs. Researches, develops, and implements tools, practices, and approaches to facilitate eLearning and virtual skills training that directly supports and effectively meets the needs of participants.
Leads the development and provides insight for the delivery and implementation of patient experience eLearning and virtual training across the enterprise
Creates online courses including content, flow vision and conceptualization of training into an online format using authoring software
Proactively refines or oversees the refinement of content for continuous improvement including digitizing instructor-led curricula and preparation of content for commercialization
Consults and collaborates with clients and stakeholders to determine appropriate elearning solutions that meet organizational needs, align with up-to-date research, Cleveland Clinic values, and CEHC quality standards
Manages relationships with SMEs and business partners supporting the development of programs including development process, revisions and proofs
Keeps up with new and innovative eLearning & development approaches in design, delivery and implementation methods
Collaborates with Learning and Development Specialist in the design and development of instructor-led training and provides team members with mentorship as needed related to eLearning
Facilitates varied and/or complex patient experience training programs to caregivers and management with an emphasis on training trainers
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree required with emphasis in education, instructional design, learning and development, or related field of study (Masters preferred)
Complexity of Work:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360), and learning management systems required (proficiency with augmented reality tools preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skill.
Requires ability to speak effectively in front of large audiences.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years experience in eLearning design, development, delivery; at least 2 of these years in a corporate setting (Portfolio of work samples preferred)
Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.
Must have normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.
Domestic and International Travel may be required for this position
