The Portfolio Analyst provides performance and portfolio analysis as well as statistical support for Hallmark’s investment functions, GIPS performance reporting and institutional and high-net worth business development marketing efforts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Calculate, maintain and interpret performance and portfolio statistics used by the investment department to profile investment strategies.
Maintain statistical profile of the firm, assets under management and clientele that profile HCM’s business.
Populate and maintain multiple industry databases used by institutional investors to screen and select investment advisors.
Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFP) drafting original responses and sourcing responses from HCM’s internal database. Maintain HCM’s database of RFP questions and responses.
Perform analysis of prospective clients’ portfolios in support of the business development effort.
Participate in the maintenance and reporting of performance composites in support of HCM’s compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
Maintain and distribute internal, weekly performance update.
Develop processes and procedures to organize and maintain all underlying historical data necessary in support of the above described functions.
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
In-depth knowledge of finance.

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and a minimum of five years related experience.
MBA Degree and a minimum of seven years' experience in Investment Management preferred.
