Job Description Summary:
Individual exercises judgment and discretion in the completion of tasks associated with the scheduling and coordination of the work schedule for the Communication & Control Department, Substation Electric Operations. The primary deliverable for the Scheduler Planner is to coordinate all planned and emergent work . Individual is responsible for monitoring and changing the schedule as needed to accommodate established goals; accountable for monitoring compliance work and corrective backlog; responsible to coordinate with local control center, supervisors, AWC's, projects and engineering; conduct weekly scheduling meetings; and responsible to follow established guidelines regarding the scheduling process.
A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and directly related experience in addition to at least five years of related experience is required. Knowledge of transmission & distribution maintenance, construction, testing, operations and work management principles is highly desirable. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety rules is also highly desirable. This position requires a working knowledge of work management systems and scheduling techniques. Experience with Cascade , Primavera, Arcos , TOA, Microsoft Project and Maximo is highly desirable. Good computer skills and a working knowledge of Excel required. Incumbent must possess excellent multi-tasking skills, be detail oriented, meet expectations of multiple organizations and possess the ability to understand goal-driven deliverables . Individual will have storm restoration and emergency assignments.
